Fitting and Measurements
A correct fit is vital to deliver the expected performance. Please refer to the fitting instructions set out below. You can also download the product data sheet and the PDF with this information which can be found at the foot of the page.
Choice of Sizes
The rooflights are available in standard sizes, starting at 1050mm x 1050mm increasing incrementally up to 1800mm x 1800mm. If you don’t see the size you need, please get in touch and we’ll be delighted to help with bespoke dimensions.
Fitting to Builders Upstand: How to Measure
To get an accurate fit it’s essential to measure both the internal and external builders upstand.
The required upstand height is 200mm and the width is 75mm if you are arranging your own installation. For example, a structural opening of 900mm x 900mm would be the result if you chose the 1050mm x 1050mm option from our available menu options.

Begin by measuring the internal opening of the roof.
Acceptable margin:
Dome size +20/-30mm
For purchases which are made that include an upstand, the measurements on our order menu will refer to the structural opening. This can be seen highlighted in red on the above diagram. If you are fitting onto an existing upstand, this does not apply.

Glazing Details:
The thermal efficiency of the type of glazing is provided in the Centre Pane U-Value.
The thermal, efficiency of the entire rooflight is provided in the Ud-Value. This has been calculated as per the NARM Technical Document NTD2).
The U-value must be a minimum of 2.2w/m2K to comply with Part L Building regulations. Triple skin rooflights are recommended by the manufacturer for all applications.
