Fitting and Measurements
The product data sheet and instructions for installation in PDF form to download can be found at the foot of this page.
The size you select to order should match the final dimensions of your external upstand. For example, an external upstand measuring 1000mm x 1000mm would require a purchase measuring 1000mm x 1000mm.
The width of your upstand should measure 75mm.
There is a 40mm margin already built into our opening roof light design dimensions. This means that if your external measurements were 1040mm x 1040mm, it would still be suitable for a 1000mm x 1000mm fit.
Self-clean glass is only fully effective when used with pitches of 10 degrees or greater. Please get in touch if you would like to include this option.
A minimum pitch of 2° is required to prevent water ponding on the glass leading to rapid dirt build up. For some larger sizes of Brett Martin Flat Glass a minimum of 4° pitch is required. Customers may install at lower pitch, but this is likely to result in water pooling on top of the glass.
For an additional cost, we can provide a PVC upstand for items which need to be fixed onto the builders upstand. Prior notice is required so please get in touch before ordering if this applies.
